Refund Policy

1. Overview

OakyScribe offers two paid products: a monthly Pro subscription and prepaid credit packs. Payments are processed by our payment providers (Mercado Pago for Chile and Latin America; an international payment provider for other regions). This policy explains when refunds apply and how to request one.

2. Pro Subscription

• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account. You keep access until the end of the current billing period and will not be charged again.
• First payment: if you are not satisfied, we will refund your first subscription payment in full when requested within 14 days of the charge, provided you have used less than 30 minutes of transcription in that billing period.
• Renewals: if a renewal was charged and you have not used the Service in the new billing period (for example, you forgot to cancel), we will refund that renewal when requested within 7 days of the charge.
• Outside these windows, we do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial billing periods.

3. Credit Packs

• A credit pack is refundable in full when requested within 14 days of purchase, provided none of its minutes have been used.
• Once minutes from a pack have been consumed, the pack is non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

4. Duplicate or Incorrect Charges

If you were charged twice for the same purchase, or charged an incorrect amount, contact us and we will refund the difference in full, regardless of the windows above.

5. Failed Transcriptions

You are only charged minutes for completed transcriptions. If a job fails, no minutes are deducted. If you believe minutes were deducted in error, contact us and we will review and re-credit them.

6. How to Request a Refund

Email sebastian@oakyscribe.ai from the email address associated with your account, including the purchase date and, if available, your receipt. We respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method; depending on the payment provider and your bank, the money typically arrives within 5–10 business days.

7. Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be waived, including Chilean Law No. 19.496. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services; by starting to use the Service immediately after purchase you consent to immediate supply, and the right of withdrawal no longer applies once the service has been fully consumed.

8. Abuse

We may refuse a refund where we detect fraud or repeated abuse of this policy (for example, consuming large amounts of transcription and then requesting refunds across multiple billing periods).
